Good handling, versatile cabin, fine ride.
Unenthusiastic engine, vague steering, only seats four.
Cheerful, but not very cheap, Twingo is let down by a lacklustre engine and hefty price tag.

It's a little bit too early for the Twingo to star in surveys into reliability and satisfaction.
Renault as a brand has performed well below average in the JD Power for customer satisfaction, ranking joint 22nd along with Land Rover. In that particular survey it was poor dealers, not reliability, to blame for the poor overall rating.
Inside, our Twingo was rattle-free but plagued with hard unpleasant-feeling plastic that wouldn't look out of place in a van. At least all seemed well built and simple to use.
