Renault Modus (2004-) Review

Category: Superminis 3 out of 5

Summary of the Renault Modus (2004-)

Price Range: £10,685 to £13,585

Assets

Looks good, roomy cabin, excellent crash test results, 1.5 dCi diesel engine

Drawbacks

Choppy ride, weedy 1.2 petrol, sluggish auto, not much rear legroom or boot space.

Sum-up

One of the better-looking mini-MPVs and a good family motoring solution - with the right engine.

Renault Modus Review

Used Value4 out of 5

The Modus is not super-cheap to buy, but it promises to hold its value better than a mainstream Clio.

Renault's MPVs are popular second-hand buys, and it may well appeal to buyers who can't quite stretch to a Scenic, or who want some of the Scenic's abilities in a smaller package.
