Renault Laguna Coupe Review

Reliability and Quality4 out of 5

The Renault Laguna Coupe benefits from the one billion Euro investment spent developing the Laguna hatch on which it's based. Like the hatch and estate, the Coupe has a cabin that feels expensive and, dare we say it, like it's been crafted by Volkswagen - such are the high quality of the plastics used.

It's still too early for the Laguna to feature in any reliability and satisfaction surveys, so it's unclear if the Laguna has achieved its much-mooted U-turn for reliability.

We do know that the Renault brand still performs poorly and was well below average in the latest JD Power for customer satisfaction, ranking joint 22nd along with Land Rover. But in that particular survey it was poor dealers, not reliability, to blame for the poor overall rating.
