A timely update for the Clio, but it's nothing special in a category full of classy performers.
Any car that delivers over 60mpg has to be worth a look. Official fuel consumption figures say the diesel will return 61.4mpg and emit 123g/km of carbon dioxide (Band D). The GT, meanwhile, delivers 40.1mpg on the combined cycle while emitting 160g/km of CO2 (Band G).
Company car users will find the Clio kind to their pay packets - the 1.5 diesel is in the 18% Benefit-in-Kind tax band and the GT is in the 20% band.
Insurance will be affordable too: the diesel is in group 5 and the GT in group 7.
