Renault Clio RenaultSport Review

Safety and Security4 out of 5

The Clio V6 comes with driver, passenger and side airbags, and ABS anti-lock brakes with electronic brakeforce distribution. There's no stability control, but then, this is a proper sports car, and that system may impinge on driver involvement. It's nickable though, so to prevent filthy-tea-leaves having away with it, Renaultsport has installed a Thatcham Category 2 engine immobiliser and - to keep your insurer happy - a Category 1 volumetric alarm, remotely operated. There are anti-hijack doors, which lock as soon as you get underway, too, and anti-drill door locks.
