Amazing performance, yet it still manages to be completely practical. All that plus a sky-high image.
Not much, but the interior quality is not quite top-notch.
Very mature, like most of its customers. The sensible supercar.

Unlike previous 911s this one is easy to drive quickly or slowly. The dashboard layout is logical, the pedals are conventional action, and the gearchange is easy to operate. Drivers can now fully enjoy the failsafe handling rather than worrying about an impromptu high-speed skid. It doesn't get much more fun than this. The unusual engine note, the sheer go, the roadholding and general wieldiness make for a brilliantly entertaining cross-country flyer. And it doesn't wear you ragged in the process either.
Porsche purists are alarmed that the engine is water rather than air cooled, but no one really cares because it will get to 60mph in under 5 seconds and top 170mph. A much improved and much smoother gear change is a big help, but awesome performance is just one aspect of the 911.
