Phenomenal performance, staggeringly good brakes, surprisingly comfortable considering it's a near 200 mph supercar
Lack of traction control combined with rear-wheel drive and 462 bhp means the GT2 demands total concentration at all times
The quickest, most powerful 911 to date is a wild, wild ride, with performance that's easily accessed and unforgettable

Running a Porsche isn't for the financially challenged, as labour rates are expensive and service intervals frequent; sticking to the servicing schedule is vital. Insurance is of the 'refer to broker' variety, meaning it costs as much as a reasonable second-hand hatchback. Used hard, the GT2 will only just return double-figure fuel consumption, so fuel costs alone will be steep. But this is the price you pay for supercar ownership, and the GT2 is cheaper to keep on the road than a Ferrari or Lamborghini. Very few GT2s will make it onto the new market, let alone the used, and because they're extra-special even by Porsche's standards, they should hold their value extremely well. Bargain-hunters will get nowhere with the GT2. At an approximate price of £114,000, the GT2 isn't exactly cheap, even by Ferrari standards, although you do get a stunning amount of performance for the money. It's too early to predict residual values for this car, but traditionally these specialised Porsches (production numbers will be low) hold their value better than the standard models.
