Porsche 911 GT2 (1999-2007) Review

Category: Exotic Sports 4.5 out of 5

Summary of the Porsche 911 GT2 (1999-2007)

Price Range: £61,744 to £128,307

Assets

Phenomenal performance, staggeringly good brakes, surprisingly comfortable considering it's a near 200 mph supercar

Drawbacks

Lack of traction control combined with rear-wheel drive and 462 bhp means the GT2 demands total concentration at all times

Verdict

The quickest, most powerful 911 to date is a wild, wild ride, with performance that's easily accessed and unforgettable

Porsche 911 Review

Reliability and Quality5 out of 5

Unlike most supercars, Porsches feel as if they're built for daily use and the 911 GT2 is no exception. Fit and finish are excellent, and the doors and controls have a solid, robust feel. One or two of the facia plastics could be improved in appearance, but otherwise all the cabin materials smack of high quality. Provided you adhere to the servicing schedules, the GT2 should prove reliable, too - it's the reason so many Porsche owners remain faithful to the brand.
