Comfortable, practical, good value.
Windscreen pillars can block your view, and it's no looker.
More of the same, but much better.

Euro NCAP's crash test results give the 308 five stars out of five for adult occupant protection, four out of five for child protection and three out of four for pedestrian protection. That's the same pattern as the Citroen C4, VW Golf and Toyota Auris, and better than the Honda Civic, Vauxhall Astra, Seat Leon and Mazda 3.
The 308 comes with a minimum of six and in some cases nine airbags, and all three rear seats have Isofix child seat mounting points.
Even the most basic 308s have anti-lock brakes, with brakeforce distribution and Brake Assist systems. Stability control is standard on all Sport, SE and GT cars.
One problem that becomes apparent the first time you take a corner is that the A-pillars either side of the windscreen are just where you don't want them to be: in your line of sight. This is a far from unique problem, but it's disappointing that Peugeot hasn't taken the opportunity to reverse the trend.
Only the GT model has an alarm as standard, but all 308s come with deadlocks.
