Peugeot 207 (2006-) Review

Category: Superminis 4.5 out of 5

Summary of the Peugeot 207 (2006-)

Price Range: £10,495 to £15,695

Assets

Stylish design, excellent handling characteristics, strong diesels, EuroNCAP results.

Drawbacks

Non-turbo petrols not as sprightly as they could be, could be issues over electrics.

Verdict

The 207 brings Peugeot back to the forefront of the supermini sector with a healthy dash of Gallic flair.

Peugeot 207 Review

Running Costs4 out of 5

Fuel economy is good for all engines - particularly the diesels. On the combined cycle, the petrols will return 44.8mpg (1.4 75bhp), 44.1mpg (1.4 90bhp) and 40.3mpg (1.6 110bhp). The diesels return 62.7mpg (1.4 70bhp and 1.6 90bhp) and 58.8mpg (1.6 110bhp). CO2 emissions are low, ranging from 150-166g/km for the petrols and 120-126g/km for the diesels. That will mean low annual road tax and company car tax liability.

Service intervals are 2 years or 20,000miles (whichever is sooner) for the petrol engines and the 1.4 diesel (although an intermediate oil change every 10,000miles is recommended) and 2 years or 12,000miles for the 1.6 diesel.
