Category: Hot Hatchbacks 4 out of 5

Summary of the Peugeot 207 GTi (2007-)

Price Range: £15,675 to £15,675

Assets

Sorted suspension, torque available from low down the rev range, good steering feel.

Drawbacks

Not the hardcore driving experience many were hoping for.

Verdict

Great fun, but missing that spark that would make it iconic.

Peugeot 207 Review

Comfort and Equipment4.5 out of 5

The 207 GTi is a pretty comfortable ride considering what it's been designed to do: there's none of the crashiness you'd experience in, say the BMW 130i MSport or even the Panda 100HP. However, you may find the engine note tiring, as with just a five-speed gearbox the revs are very high at a high speed motorway cruise.

In terms of standard equipment, there's a CD/radio, leather/Alcantara interior trim and a choice of two non-metallic colours (Bianca White and Flamenco Red).

For an extra £1,000 there's a GTi Pack Plus, which includes tinted rear windows, rear parking aid, cruise control, folding mirrors, tyre pressure sensor, automatic lights and wipers. Further options include an upgraded JBL hi-fi, metallic paint, Bluetooth and another package of sat nav, phone, hi-fi and 'fragrance diffuser'.
