It's a good compromise between a family 4x4 and a working vehicle, although it does seem a shame to get it dirty
Unusually for a commercial vehicle, ABS was standard on the Navara from 2002 (though lesser Pick-Ups don't have it). There are also driver and passenger airbags, seatbelt pre-tensioners, an immobiliser and central locking. Sheer size and solidity are a bonus, though remember the laws of physics: a heavy, high-riding vehicle will always be more prone to rollovers than a low-slung passenger car, especially if it's not fitted with stability control (not offered in this range).
