Category: Small Family
Price Range: £15,600 to £24,700
Fine drive, added space.
Seats only useful for occasional use, hefty premium over already pricey five-seat.
Worth considering for those who occasionally carry more than five and are thoroughly bored with the MPV way of thinking.

Qashqais have not been around long enough to be included in customer satisfaction surveys but Nissan is currently level-pegging with Volkswagen at 13th in the most recent JD Power survey - a disappointing result for the Japanese brand.
However, our test cars have never been anything less than beautifully built save the odd bit of orange peel paint imperfections. We have heard reports that some early cars suffered from quality glitches, but they are few and far between and as quality goes the Qashqai remains a hit 18 months on. Inside it all seems solid and well bolted together and we particularly like the high-quality satin-finish plastic around the centre console.
