Hard-working, huge load bed, spacious cabin, scads of equipment, plenty of power, good value.
Too vast for some, awful turning circle, not as tight to drive as rivals.
Best for space, power, presence and equipment, but the Mitsubishi L200 is more wieldy and better to drive.

The Japanese pick-up market is famed for its reliability and toughness, and the Navara is trading off that. It's a little different in that, unlike the majority of its rivals, it's built in Spain and not Thailand.
Good for avoiding import duty, but there have been initial chinks in the reputation for reliability built up by the old model. Early cars were subject to a recall, and less potentially dangerous problems have been fixed for free by Nissan dealers.
Ultimately however the Navara benefits by being identical to the Pathfinder SUV from the B-pillar forwards, and that means a grade above in terms of materials and attention to detail. Or it did until new rivals like the Ford Ranger began to appear.
