Category: Pick-ups
Price Range: £19,664 to £24,964
Utility, chunky looks, off-road ability.
Bumpy ride, old-fashioned cabin, poor stereo.
Dated but honest. Best bought to do a job, rather than to be trendy - but it will do that job very well.

Pick-up trucks were once the preserve of builders, workmen and farmers, used solely for doing a particularly messy job. But these days, they're marketed more and more as lifestyle accessories, or as vehicles to work in during the week and use like a normal car at the weekends - and modern trucks such as the Mitsubishi L200 are offered with equipment levels and cabin comfort on a par with many passenger cars.
Mitsubishi's long-lived L200 pick-up range comprises the L200 Single Cab (two- or four-wheel drive) and four-wheel drive only L200 Double Cab GL, 4-Life and Animal models. All L200 models have a 2.5-litre turbo diesel engine, revised last year for more power and torque. They have also received new grille and front bumper designs to make them look more like the latest Shogun.
Not in our price database because it's listed as a commercial vehicle, but costs from £9,995 - £17,995 (5 versions)
