Visually striking, roomy inside the double cab, best-driving pick-up out there, long list of equipment and accessories.
Ride quality better but not great, short load bed, needs crude power chip to match rivals on performance.
The best pick-up for UK driving conditions. A huge improvement on its predecessor.

The double cab is impressively spacious. Responding to customer feedback, Mitsubishi have developed a pick-up with class-leading rear legroom. It's genuinely possible to fit four or even five adults in comfort. Some occupants might find the seats lack under-thigh support, but they're otherwise well shaped.
Inevitably, the load bay is compromised by the size of the cabin and the rear bed is now the shortest of any double cab. As the rules for commercial status stipulate, the payload is over a tonne and you're also allowed to tow up to 2.7 tons of braked trailer.
In terms of equipment, the 4Work is spartan, but the 4Life adds such luxuries as air conditioning, remote keyless entry, central locking and body-colour bumpers.
The Warrior is where it starts getting SUV luxurious, offering climate control, Super Select 4WD, alarm, alloy wheels, electric mirrors and an upgraded stereo. It's also gets a UK pick-up first: an electrically retracting rear window, which lets you poke longer loads from the bed into the cabin.
The Animal builds on the Warrior's specification with its own, extrovert aesthetics. There's a special body kit and leather trim, a Smartnav navigation system and a CD autochanger.
The Elegance is more subtle, but even more lavishly equipped. A DVD navigation system is joined by leather trim and electric/heated seats. Combine the two and you've got the Elegance Plus, a pick-up to rival the Nissan Navara Aventura for equipment and sheer glam.
