Considering the vast majority of these cars will be used in cities, they shouldn't rack up massive mileages. Therefore, the car's life span is more likely to be an issue and the firm says the battery should last for at least 10 years and retain an 80% charge capability.
The shortage of supply - Mitsubishi believes it'll sell out - means the used value of i-MiEVs is likely to be strong. But expect it to decline the older they get as uncertainty over battery life takes its toll.
