Very fast, very stiff, surprisingly comfortable.
Big and heavy, limited practicality.
Roadster is more appealing than the coupe, but it's still hard to see past the price.

Like the coupe, the soft-top has a body made of carbon fibre, chosen for its lightness and strength. A crash would be very expensive, but Merc's internal tests demonstrate that the carbon would put up one hell of a fight before it let a brick wall get anywhere near the driver.
To compensate for the lack of a roof the roadster has strengthened doors, plus fixed rollover bars behind the seats and high-strength steel tube inside the A-pillars. It also has anti-lock braking with Brake Assist, traction and stability control, adaptive airbags, knee and side bags, seatbelt pre-tensioners and a tyre pressure monitoring system.
And it has an awful lot of braking power. An airbrake rises automatically from the boot lid at 59mph to increase downward pressure on the rear axle, and if the driver presses heavily on the brake pedal the airbrake changes angle to help the deceleration. Not that the ceramic disc brakes are short of ability when it comes to slowing down from high speeds. Their problem is with low speeds, when they're snatchy. You get used to them, though.
