This is a very fast car, but it doesn't always feel that way as you're so insulated from the outside world
Mercedes provides its 30-year Mobilo-Life anti-corrosion guarantee with good reason: it is confident that its cars are tough enough to last that long. Engine and powertrain reliability is also long-proven, and although the CL-Class is a very complex piece of machinery with extensive electronic networks, it should be unproblematic. However, some of the suede and suede-effect finishes on offer for the cabin - especially the very pale beiges - don't look too durable, and there are some surprisingly lightweight plastics and some fit'n'finish detailing that is not quite to the standard one might expect from a car of this price.
