Mercedes M-class Review

Safety and Security5 out of 5

Aside from a poor one-star result in the pedestrian crash test, results from Euro NCAP have been impressive. The Mercedes M-Class received the full five stars for adult protection and three stars for child protection.

The revised ML is still packed full of safety equipment, including the Pre-Safe system first seen in the S-Class. This uses the ABS and ESP sensors to determine if the car is heading for a crash. If a crash is deemed inevitable, the belts are pulled taut, the electric front seats are optimally positioned and the sunroof (if fitted) is closed.

Active head restraints that reduce whiplash are also standard.
