Mercedes Benz M-Class (1998-2001) Review

Category: Large 4x4s 1.5 out of 5

Summary of the Mercedes Benz M-Class (1998-2001)

Price Range: £30,280 to £75,823

Assets

Good level of standard equipment, plenty of interior space, quite good road manners.

Drawbacks

Poor-quality interior, not very capable off-road.

Verdict

Not so much an off-roader as a big, prestigious, 4wd estate.

Mercedes E-Class Coupe Review

Comfort and Equipment3.5 out of 5

You certainly couldn't accuse the M-Class of not being luxurious: there's masses of leather and legroom, and wonderfully comfy seats. However, the quality of the interior will be a big disappointment to anyone who's owned a Mercedes before, as there are lots of rattles and squeaks on the move. There's acres of space inside the M-Class, rear head and legroom being particularly impressive. The boot is massive and gets even bigger when the rear seats fold into a large flat load space. Hugely practical. A multi-speaker radio/cassette with RDS traffic information is standard. A CD player will cost you extra.
