Mercedes C-Class Estate Review

Used Value4 out of 5

As an investment from new a C-Class is one of the most sensible choices in the class, returning well over 40% of its original new price after three years. Mercs are in demand as used purchases - and the prices asked, especially at main dealers, reflect this, meaning few bargains for secondhand buyers.

Used buyers should also watch out for South African 'grey' imports with low specification levels, and other cars not originally destined for the UK market. Make sure you know what you're getting.

For a while yet all the best low-mileage secondhand C-Classes will be at main Mercedes franchises, though independent specialists often have good examples.
