Spacious, practical, high driving position, good visibility, quick witted stop/start, economy, huge boot.
Expensive, average to drive, you have to keep your foot on brake to activate the stop/start, dull.
Fuel-saving revisions are welcome, but B-Class continues to trail its competitors on price, drive and ability.

It seems Mercedes has finally turned the corner with regards to reliability. Late Nineties cars proved somewhat fragile and many suffered component failures, but now those dark days are long gone for the German brand. In the most recent JD Power survey the Merc ranked a very respectable sixth position after Jaguar and Toyota.
The B-Class specifically didn't feature but its close relative, the A-Class, did. Owners praised the smaller A-Class' tough reliable mechanicals, but wished their car drove better and was cheaper to repair and maintain.
As far as quality goes, though the B-Class still seems to be lagging. Both the Audi A3 and Volkswagen Golf feel more upmarket, while the B-Class interior still looks a tad plasticky.
