The Mercedes badge is about all the B-Class has to distinguish itself from its opposition; there are numerous more accomplished all-rounders now on the market.

The B-Class doesn't sell in the same numbers as the smaller A, and doesn't have the same high profile on the used car market. Resale values aren't as good as for the more prestigious C-Class either, nor is the B as popular a used buy as mainstream small MPVs like the Ford C-Max, Renault Scenic and Citroen C4/Xsara Picasso. That said, it is a Merc, and it may develop its following - A-Class buyers are now very loyal.
