Mazda MX-5 Review

Safety and Security3 out of 5

Being so agile, the MX-5 will be good at avoiding an accident, and the strengthened body will improve its crash performance, particularly in side impacts. Braking performance has also been improved. ABS and electronic brake-force distribution are standard, along with twin front airbags - the passenger one can be deactivated to allow for children - and seatbelt tensioners. However, there is no roll-over bar, nor are there sidebags. Thief-proofing runs to an immobiliser.
