Mazda 6 (2002-) Review

Category: Large Family 4 out of 5

Summary of the Mazda 6 (2002-)

Price Range: £15,685 to £22,460

Assets

Driving dynamics, quiet ride, quality interior, eye-catching exterior styling

Drawbacks

Mazda badge, noisy diesels

Verdict

Forget the old 626, the 6 is an altogether different - and better - proposition.

Mazda Mazda6 Estate Review

Reliability and Quality5 out of 5

Mazda has always made very reliable cars (early rotary engines apart) and the 6 should be no exception. In fact, Mazda claims "best in class craftsmanship". And yes, it's well built and well-finished, with good attention to detail, and the interior features much higher-quality plastics and fabrics than in the 626. It should stand up to high-mileage company use - or family abuse - very well.
