Exclusivity and joy of driving a Lotus that can rival the best from Porsche.
Still some issues concerning build quality and there's no way this car is a four-seater.
Superb to drive and a genuine alternative to a Porsche.

Lotus and quality are not two words that have always sat easily together. Flaky build quality and problems with the earlier Rover-powered Elises didn't put these worries to rest, but the switch to Toyota engines for its cars is a big step forward for Lotus. The Evora's V6 is relatively understressed as it produces 276bhp from 3.5-litres and the Lotus tips the scales at a reasonably lightweight 1382kg, so the engine doesn't have a huge amount of weight to shift.
Lotus cars have sold in too small a number to feature in the likes of the JD Power Survey. However, there are plenty of reports from owners that build quality is functional rather than seminal. The Evora moves up several rungs from this state of affairs, but during our time with the car a couple of bits of trim worked loose. However, the Evora was free of rattles and squeaks, and the materials all appeared to be high quality.
