Lotus Elise (1996-2001) Review

Category: Roadsters 3.5 out of 5

Summary of the Lotus Elise (1996-2001)

Price Range: £25,712 to £32,067

Assets

Supremely capable and entertaining handling, comfortable ride, eager performance and unexpectedly low running costs.

Drawbacks

A bit noisy, a bit uncomfortable and the hood is a small but cumbersome device.

Verdict

Wonderful, if a machine for driving is what you want.

Lotus Elise Review

Reliability and Quality4 out of 5

Lotuses are not known for their durability and build quality, but the Elise is a little different. It's not guaranteed troublefree, but there's a good chance. It is also built from materials (aluminium and plastic composites) that allow it to last almost indefinitely. There's not much of it, but what there is is pretty well put together.
