Dull driving manners, underwhelming V6 engine, expensive.
A good choice for anyone after a smooth boulevard cruiser, but it's pricey and won't satisfy keener drivers.

Extra bracing and reinforcements have helped boost chassis strength, so the IS 250C should be strong in the event of a collision.
Both trim levels come with various electronic driver aids, including stability and traction control, which have been tuned to the demands of an open-top car. There are also six airbags fitted as standard, with larger side airbags to help protect occupants if the roof is down.
High-spec SE-L models get the Pre-Crash Safety and Adaptive Cruise Control systems, which sense and warn of an impact, deploying seatbelt pre-tensioners and priming the brake system before the driver can react.
In terms of security, a Thatcham Category One alarm and immobiliser is fitted as standard and that metal folding roof makes the IS 250C much harder to steal or damage than a fabric-topped cabriolet.
