Fiat has never been renowned for its bigger cars, but it has done well with this one. Shame so few people have noticed.
No deadlocks, so getting in isn't too difficult. A driver's airbag is standard, but a passenger airbag is a £274 option. The Brava was only mediocre in the Euro NCAP tests, although the Marea's size does make it safer. ABS is standard on the 2.0 ELX and HLX models, and a £753 option on the rest.
