On the small side.
Fiat has never been renowned for its bigger cars, but it has done well with this one. Shame so few people have noticed.

The short wheelbase makes it easy to manoeuvre, the chassis is taut and responsive, and all-round handling is sharp and precise. It drives as a good Fiat should - you can tell it's related to the excellent Coupé. The driving position inspires confidence, with good all-round visibility. For a sensible family saloon or loadlugger, the Marea is surprisingly good fun. The direct, precise handling gives it the edge over its rivals, and the excellent roadholding means it can be pushed along quite happily. Involving, endearing and even exciting, if you want.
Performance is consistently good across the range, athough the TD 75 is a bit of a plodder.
