Latest chassis revisions make a much better Vectra, but it still lacks the Mondeo's pizzazz.

Much effort went into upgrading interior quality, with pleasantly-textured soft-feel plastics and chromed components such as the door handles, handbrake and gearlever knob; it all seems robust, too. 2005 models receive plusher materials and extra highlights across the dashboard and door trims.
This Vectra has proved reliable so far, performing better than its predecessor in reliability and customer satisfaction surveys, though there have been reports of problems with the 2.0 and 2.2 diesel engines (both now discontinued) and snapping of timing chains in the 2.2i 16v (an issue now tackled). A few reports on minor reliability niggles and engine management glitches, but generally good for a mainstream, mass-produced model.
