Nissan has always made reliable, durable cars, and this Primera should be no exception, though so far, it has not scored more than average results in customer satisfaction and reliability surveys. There were a few early glitches with this range and it was recalled to have rear anti-roll bar modifications and checks on the crankshaft sensors, owners having reported problems with stalling and non-starting. Other complaints have included the lack of side rubbing strips on the doors, which make them prone to dents and scrapes. These are minor troubles, though, and in the long-term, a Primera should prove very durable. Just think of all those old Bluebirds still running around. As for quality, early feedback from customers led to this latest upgrade for 2005: Nissan has really focussed on upping the feel-good factor, largely succeeding apart from some horrible, cheap-feeling fake shiny aluminium (plastic) applied to the interior door handles.
