Precise steering, refined engines, quiet, well packaged.
Not the prettiest car, jury out on reliability.
Renault has built a solid, well-packaged car - but it just lacks that certain je ne sais quoi to be able to beat the Mondeo.

Residuals should be pretty solid for a car as well equipped as the Laguna, especially if it can live up to Renault's claims for reliability and quality.
Look out for the diesels in particular, which should retain value well thanks to their frugality and low VED banding, and, when they arrive, expect the V6-powered cars to hold their value badly.
