Still the best luxury saloon in the world
The S-class takes up the mantle of its predecessor, setting the standard for other manufacturers to follow in the demanding luxury car arena. The current model is far prettier than the one it replaced in 1999; it's also smaller, yet has more room for passengers. Technically it's deeply cool, with an excellent specification and an options list unrivalled by any other car in the world. Refinement, comfort and agility mean that the S-Class is still the one to beat.
