Past Maseratis have not been the most dependable of cars. Things have got much better in recent years, though, because the family link with Ferrari has brought Ferrari standards of design and construction.
The trim materials are excellent, including soft leather, soft-touch rubberised surfaces on the few plastic mouldings and some excellent - if over-polished - wood. The structure feels stiff, with no creaks or rattles.
