One of the finest luxury cars money in any class, powerful engines with improved economy, surefooted handling.
High price, profligate image.
Still a world-beating luxury car, blending high-end technology with perfect driving manners and serious off-road capability.

This is the latest Range Rover - one of the finest luxury cars money can buy. Land Rover, its British manufacturer, has taken the previous model and improved almost everything about it, making it more luxurious, better equipped, more powerful and yet more economical than it was before.
The company makes no apologies for the Range Rover's place in the world. At the top of the range, a 5.0-litre supercharged V8 petrol model still stands proud, offering spine-tingling, effortless performance from its 503bhp engine.
But most buyers will opt for the 375bhp 3.6-litre V8 diesel - one of the finest oilburning engines on the market. It'll return 30mpg, but accelerate from 0-60mph in 8.6 seconds.
Although its engines are, on average, 20% more efficient than their predecessors, it still costs a fair old whack to run. It'll also depreciate pretty quickly, if history is to be believed.
Prices range from £65k for the 3.6-litre diesel and go up to £80k for the 5.0-litre supercharged version. It's not cheap, particularly when it's compared to the £50k 4.2-litre Audi Q7 TDi S-line or even the equivalent Mercedes GL (£63k). Even the most expensive BMW X5 costs just £53k and that's got an M Sport badge on it.
So is it worth investing in a Rangie? Read on to find out.
