Extremely broad range of on- and off-road capabilities, good on-road refinement, growly-sounding and strong-performing petrol engines, fantastic TDV8 diesel, good interior ambience and an extremely comfortable interior.
A little heavier than most rivals, and thirstier than some; really needs Dynamic Response to adequately contain body movements on demanding roads.
One of the most broadly capable cars on the planet. Its off-road capability probably, though understandably, compromises its on-road agility a little, but its depth of ability pretty much justifies its weight.

No problem with perceived quality. The interior ambience is excellent, with a pleasantly designed interior. It owes more to the Land Rover Discovery than its incredibly stylish Range Rover sister model, however, which we think is a bit of a pity. The large centre console is fronted with buttons and plastics that feel slightly inferior to the Range Rover's and the black-on-green clock and stereo LCD display on the centre console isn't quite up to scratch. Otherwise no complaints, wood-effect trim is extremely convincing and it's a great place to spend large amounts of time, even though it can't quite match the 'proper' Range Rover's hugely welcoming interior ambience.
