Equipment levels, seven-year warranty, competitive price
Ride too harsh, residual image perception, no steering feel
Good enough to make us reconsider Korean cars

That seven-year, 93,000-mile warranty - five years on the entire car, plus another two for the powertrain - should mean that not only will it cost diddly squat to fix should anything go wrong but, as it's transferable, it will be a real boon to residuals when owners come to sell their Cee'ds on.
The two diesel engines are both within VED Band C, with CO2 figures of 125g/km (1.6-litre) and 145g/km (2.0-litre). The 1.4-litre (145g/km) petrol engine also sneaks into Band C, but the 1.6 is in Band D, thanks to its 152g/km, and the 2.0-litre's 170g/km pushes it into Band E.
The diesels are also, naturally, the sensible choice when it comes to fuel consumption, with quoted combined figures of 60.1mpg for the 1.6 and 52.3mpg for the 2.0-litre: petrol figures are 46.3 (1.4), 44.1 (1.6) and 39.7mpg (2.0).
