Jeep Cherokee (1993-2001) Review

Category: Small 4x4s 2 out of 5

Summary of the Jeep Cherokee (1993-2001)

Price Range: £20,095 to £24,595

Assets

Lots of standard equipment, easy to drive and compact.

Drawbacks

A bit too compact - it feels cramped inside.

Verdict

Good value, but long in the tooth.

Jeep Cherokee Review

Comfort and Equipment3.5 out of 5

Fine for those in the nicely shaped front seats, but almost intolerable for those in the cramped rear quarters. Build quality is excellent and a more modern dashboard gives the Cherokee a reassuringly solid feel. The ride is quite good, although it can feel harsh on occasions. It can't be emphasised enough just how tight that cabin feels. The rear, in particular, is far too cramped for comfort - anyone consigned back there will complain most loudly. A reasonable-quality radio/cassette with RDS traffic information is fitted as standard across the range.
