Category: Exotic Sports 4.5 out of 5

Summary of the Jaguar XKR (2006-)

Price Range: £69,505 to £78,400

Assets

Performance to match the looks, exquisite ride and refinement.

Drawbacks

Boot's too small, cabin's too ordinary.

Verdict

A brilliant combination of performance, comfort and flair; now with an engine that delivers on the XK's looks.

Jaguar XKR Review

Reliability and Quality4 out of 5

The XK's engine is a well-proven unit and should give good service. Even with a supercharger, it doesn't feel highly stressed. The cars we drove also felt very solidly put together, helped by the much-improved stiffness of the body structure.

The last XK had some minor teething problems to do with interior trim, but we predict this one will prove to be a very solid car. Jaguar build quality has been getting better and better in recent years, with a shelf full of JD Power trophies to show for it.
