Jaguar XKR (2009-) Review

Category: Exotic Sports 4 out of 5

Summary of the Jaguar XKR (2009-)

Price Range: £69,505 to £78,400

Assets

Fantastic performance, great to drive, glamorous looks.

Drawbacks

Expensive to run, ride can be quite firm in the 'Dynamic' setting.

Verdict

The XKR is furiously fast, fun to drive, yet still comfortable and sumptuous when you just want to cruise. It's a great GT.

Jaguar XKR Review

Safety and Security4 out of 5

This is no stripped-bare sportscar. The full suite of airbags remains, along with a two-stage traction control system that can be partially pared back to allow some wheel slip before stepping in and saving any embarrassment.

The new differential also plays its part, stabilising the car in turns and helping to deploy the power, even in wet conditions. Of course, great powerslides are available on demand with the traction control off.

Jaguar fits a full security system and alarm to the covetable XKR.
