Jaguar XK (2006-) Review

Category: Exotic Sports 4 out of 5

Summary of the Jaguar XK (2006-)

Price Range: £60,995 to £66,995

Assets

Best-looking car in the class, sensational gearbox and an engine note to die for.

Drawbacks

Lousy boot space and an interior that doesn't quite live up to the promise of that gorgeous body.

Verdict

A first-rate evolutionary step on from the last XK, this is the best Grand Touring (GT) car that Jag has ever done. But it's not a sports car.

Jaguar XK Review

Running Costs3 out of 5

As the fresh, new replacement for a 10-year-old model, the XK's residual values will be very strong for the first few years. That'll take the depreciation sting out of ownership, certainly in the medium term.

It won't be cheap to insure, though (a rather obvious point, it has to be said), but at 25mpg overall, the XK certainly isn't profligate when it comes to fuel consumption.

For those on a company scheme, the 269g/km won't be particularly welcome news, though.
