Price Range: No data available

Assets

Refined interior, plenty of power on tap.

Ride a little on the crashy side, cabin lacks space, even for a coupe.

The G37 Coupe is interesting, but currently has some room for improvement before it can match the BMW 3-Series Coupe.

Infiniti G37 Coupe Review

Comfort and Equipment4 out of 5

The G37 is very much a coupe in terms of its interior space, with headroom limitations in the front and at the back and a fairly small boot (209 litres - less than a VW Polo or Corsa). But then you don't buy a coupe and expect to start lugging wardrobes around.

Infiniti has kitted out the G37 Coupe with a full complement of equipment. Standard features include an I-key with smart access that incorporates personalised memory functions on the key fob; six-disc, seven-speaker audio system and Bluetooth phone connectivity, which can all be operated via switches on the leather-trimmed steering wheel. There's powered seats (with eight-way adjustment on the driver's side and four-way for the passenger), auto-dimming rear view mirror, front and rear parking sensors, automatic lights and wipers, 18" alloy wheels and integrated fog lamps.

An adaptive front-light system (AFS) is also standard: bi-Xenon headlamps are linked to steering inputs and automatically follow the path of the front wheels to provide a wide spread of light around corners and on winding roads.

Nissan's Scratch Shield paint system incorporates a special highly elastic resin within the conventional clearcoat to increase the paint's flexibility. The company claims a car with this paint applied shows up to five times fewer scratches than a conventional clearcoat.

There are also a number of other options, including a leather package that adds heated leather seats, power lumbar support for the driver and upgrades to the passenger seat to give eight-way adjustment.

A sports package adds 19" alloy wheels, Four-Wheel Active Steering, heated leather covered sport seats, tyre pressure monitoring, a limited slip differential and sports settings for the suspension, steering and brakes.

Satellite navigation, reversing camera and an 11-speaker sound system developed by Bose form the multimedia package, while the Intelligent cruise control package adds brakes, throttle and laser sensors to help maintain a set distance between the Coupe and the car in front.
