Hyundai i20 (2009-) Review

Category: Superminis 3 out of 5

Summary of the Hyundai i20 (2009-)

Price Range: £9,150 to £12,800

Assets

Cheap to buy and run, well-equipped, neat styling.

Drawbacks

Noisy diesel engine, cheap-feeling dash, iffy ride.

Verdict

Not as good to drive as a Fiesta, but impossible to rule out i20's superior value.

Hyundai i20 Review

Comfort and Equipment4 out of 5

The little Hyundai comes with a generous list of standard kit. Even base Classic models get air conditioning and electric windows. Spend £800 more for the Comfort model and you add iPod connection, electric rear windows, 15" alloys, electric mirrors and trip computer.

Finally, the range-topping, five-door Style model adds the largest 16" wheels, half-leather seats, folding mirrors and climate control for an extra £900. The equivalent Fiesta Style+ model has the same amount of kit as the entry-level Comfort i20 but it costs a shocking £2,000 more.
