The hand of Lotus makes Satria GTi a great Proton, but only a good hot hatch

Rocking aside, the sports seats are quite comfortable. They're very supportive, too, and help provide a good driving position. Thanks to Lotus's input, the Satria's low-speed ride is composed and it doesn't transmit too many bumps through to the cabin. Packaging techniques have come a fair old way since the Satria was first introduced - it's based on a previous-generation Mitsubishi Colt, circa 1987. No surprise, then, that more modern cars show it the way home. Space isn't a problem in the front seats, but rear room is limited and the boot is no better than average for the class. The standard six-speaker Clarion radio/cassette sounds OK and is easy to operate. For those late-night cruises round the fast-food-joint car parks of Bradford and Huddersfield, though, you'll have to replace it with something more bangin'.
