Review

Overview2 out of 5

Not content with beating the Daewoos and Kias of this world by shipping out cheap and reliable yet not very interesting cars, Proton has been trying to inject a bit of excitement into the range. First, it went shopping and bought Lotus, then it introduced a one-make race series for the Coupe, and finally it gave its Satria hatchback to Lotus's very talented engineers, and told them to turn it into a class-leading hot hatch. Well, they've had a go, but they hardly had the best material to start with.
