Roomy, versatile, well made.
Front middle seat isn't actually very useful.
Takes the strain out of family life.

It's a squeeze getting six adults in to the FR-V, but if you're slightly less ambitious it's a roomy, comfortable, refined car. There's lots of scope for adjusting all of the seats, and there's a useful amount of boot space. Its 439-litre capacity expands to 1,049 litres when you fold all three rear seats flat: that's a higher minimum but a lower maximum than more typical compact MPVs. There are also various cubbyholes and holders around the cabin.
There's a good basic level of equipment on the entry-level SE version, with climate control, an iPod socket and electric windows and mirrors among the standard equipment.
ES trim level gains leather on the steering wheel and gear lever, privacy glass at the rear, automatic wipers, 16" alloy wheels and a rear centre armrest (when the centre seat is not in use). The top EX spec involves leather upholstery, roof rails, heated seats and an audio upgrade, including more speakers and a six-disc autochanger.
There's also a long accessories list, including interior cycle holders.
