Category: Large Family
Price Range: £19,945 to £26,920
Refinement, fine ride, good to drive, smooth auto.
Not cheap, fiddly dash, limited space in the rear.
Only the price holds Accord back from being the pick of the large family automatics.

Take a look at surveys into reliability and owner satisfaction and you'll usually find a Honda leading the pack.
The 2008 JD Power survey into satisfaction placed Honda third as the most satisfactory brand, while the Accord itself came a very respectable ninth place alongside the Skoda Fabia.
Accord owners report half as many engine faults than average, but a few niggles do creep in - early versions of the last generation model didn't have a low oil warning light, which was unfortunate given the car's reputation for oil thirst. The new car has a warning light fitted and Honda recommends frequent oil checks.
Qualitywise, the Accord is pitched against the compact executive brigade, competing with Audi, BMW and Mercedes. This shows in the cabin, with first-rate materials and a fine attention to detail, although the effect is cheapened by the ugly joystick that sprouts from the centre console.
