Zero-emission motoring, free parking in most of London, road tax and congestion charge exempt.
Anaemic performance, poor-quality fit and finish, instability at speed, limited range.
If you can live with the poorly built interior and the snail's-pace performance, then the G-Wiz is a very green alternative to a normal car. However, a pushbike and an Oyster card would be our recommendation.

Now that the car is being widely blamed for global warming, many drivers who want to do their bit to save the planet are looking for an alternative to the internal combustion engine. A hybrid using a petrol engine plus an electric motor is one option, but there are some cars that do without the conventional engine completely. Meet the electric car, or more specifically the GoinGreen G-Wiz.
The G-Wiz is manufactured in India by Reva, and is sold in the UK by GoinGreen, who pride themselves as being the 'low carbon car experts'. There are no dealerships; would-be buyers contact GoinGreen directly to arrange a test drive (the G-Wiz is brought to you) and arrange purchase. Servicing is carried out by mobile mechanics, who will perform any maintenance required at your work or home address.
Although officially classed as a quadricycle, the G-Wiz is a three-door city car, with space for four small adults. Two motors are offered: a DC version which is capable of 40mph and 40 miles between charges, and an AC version which has a 45mph top speed and 48-mile range. Both require charging from a conventional three-pin plug, and take up to eight hours to fully recharge.
